Shinran Shônin (1173-1263) revered the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha and the seven Dharma Masters. Through his writings, especially the Hymns, he made these teachings accessible to everyone.
The Collected Works of Shinran (two volumes), published by Jôdo Shinshû Hongwanji-ha, is an invaluable resource. We are very privileged to have Shinran Shônin's writings available to us in such an excellent and reliable English translation.
